Abstract

Majelis Taklim serves as an important non-formal Islamic educational institution that contributes to improving religious knowledge and strengthening the spiritual life of Muslim communities. Effective management is essential to ensure that religious education programs are implemented systematically and sustainably. This study aims to analyze the management practices of Majelis Taklim in enhancing Islamic knowledge among the community in Sukarami Village, Rambang District, Muara Enim Regency. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the management board, religious instructors, and members of the Majelis Taklim. The findings indicate that the management functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling have been implemented in organizing religious learning activities, particularly in improving the community's understanding of Islamic teachings and prayer practices. Community participation, leadership commitment, and support from local religious figures were identified as the main supporting factors, while limited facilities, human resources, and participants' attendance constituted the primary constraints. The study concludes that effective management significantly contributes to strengthening Islamic religious knowledge through structured, continuous, and community-oriented educational activities.
