The Officium Nobile originates from Latin, meaning “noble profession” In the context of Indonesian law, this term is often used to describe the legal professions such as advocates, judges, prosecutors, and other law enforcement officials who play a crucial role in upholding justice and truth.
The Officium Nobile Journal is a scholarly journal managed by CV Cendikiawan Muda Sriwijaya. This journal focuses on the legal system, law, and governance, and features academic articles that discuss legal structures, legal substance, and legal culture within society.
The nobility of the legal profession does not lie merely in the titles or positions held, but in the integrity, moral responsibility, and unwavering commitment to justice upheld by its practitioners. In carrying out their duties, legal professionals are expected not only to comply with statutory regulations but also to adhere to conscience and substantive justice. They are servants of the law who must stand above all interests, including power, wealth, and political pressure."
